E Liquid FAQ's
Frequently Asked Questions about E Liquid
What is an electronic cigarette?
The Electronic cigarette is designed to look and feel like a normal cigarette, but it doesn't burn tobacco, which means it produces no tar, carbon monoxide, or any other of the chemicals associated with smoking. The e-cigarette is made up of 3 parts which include the battery, which is rechargeable, the atomiser, which consists of a heater coil and wick, and the cartridge, which is a plastic tube that stores the e-liquid inside it.
Why should I use the e cigarette?
There are various reasons why you should make the switch. Firstly, the sensation is similar to smoking but you can control the nicotine intake more closely. There is also no tar or carbon monoxide so many consider it to be a safer way of smoking. Electronic cigarettes can be used for recreational nicotine intake with many users believing that they have no need to ever go back to normal cigarettes, and some have even used the e cig to wean themselves off of nicotine and quit their habit. E cigs are also fun, with the ability to mix up flavours and you can also personalise them.
What is e liquid? You need to purchase Eliquid to put into an electronic cigarette. The main ingredients in E-liquid are Propylene Glycol, Nicotine and Flavouring. You buy it in a small bottle which you can purchase on the Simply E liquid website and there are many strengths and flavours to choose from.
What strength do I choose?
E liquid contains nicotine which comes in high to low strengths, from 6-11mg, which is a low strength. to medium strengths (14-18mg medium), and high strengths (18-26mg) and super high strengths for the heavier smoker. When choosing an e liquid strength, you need to take into consideration your smoking habits and buy an e liquid which has a similar amount of nicotine in it to what your body is used to. If you choose a high strength which you are not used to, you will feel sick or light headed which can be unpleasant.
What flavour do I choose?
Any flavour from apple, to chocolate, to coffee, honey and regular tobacco can be found on the Simply E Liquid site. You can browse through and even mix you own flavours together, using Simply E Liquid’s DIY E liquid mixing kits.
What does smoking the e cig feel like?
The whole experience of the e liquid has been created to mimic that of regular smoking. You handle the product in the same way, with the same feel at the back of your throat when you inhale. Depending on what flavour you choose, you will also experience that taste in your mouth.
Can I use the e cig to cut down on my nicotine habit?
Many people do exactly this and say they have been successful. Due to the degrees of e liquid strengths, you can effectively cut down your nicotine intake over time, without suffering any withdrawals like with quitting normal cigarettes. You can then go right down to 0mg of nicotine and enjoy the e cig without the nicotine intake.
How long does e liquid last?
The shelf life of e-liquid is around 2 years. You should store it in a cool, dark place to prolong its life.
Is e liquid safe?
E-liquid is safe, but must be handled properly. You should keep your e-liquid out of the reach of children and pets and make sure that you do not ingest any of the solution. If you do get e-liquid in your mouth, you need to rinse your mouth out thoroughly with water and seek medical advice if any is swallowed.
