There is a vast world of e-liquid flavors out there and you will want to try as many as possible. Some of these e-liquids will have massive clouds while others will provide an intense hit to the throat. However, at the end of the day, you are looking for the taste. Vaping would not be as enjoyable if there was a lack of e-liquid flavors and there are a number of ways that you can get the most of every liquid.
Lower The Nicotine Levels
Nicotine has a taste of its own and is fairly unique. This means that the higher the nicotine level the more likely it is that the flavor is present. Higher nicotine levels will create a harsher throat hit which creates shorter drags and less flavor. If you want to enhance the flavor, you need to consider lowering the nicotine levels. Of course, this does come down to personal preference and there is a sweet spot for all e-liquids that you will need to find.
Have More PG
The flavor of the e-liquid will be greatly impacted by the ratio of propylene glycol or PG and vegetable glycerin or VG. PG is clear, thin and tasteless which is ideal in an ingredient for flavored e-liquid. The properties of PG allow the flavor of the e-liquid to be more pronounced and this ingredient is known to carry flavors well. On the other side of the ratio is VG which is sweeter and makes it harder to capture the flavor of the liquid.
Let It Steep
Steeping is something that you need to consider and this is the process of allowing the ingredients in the liquid to blend together. There are some e-liquids that can take up to 2 months to show their true flavor. However, the recommended steeping time for any e-liquid is 2 weeks.
To steep the liquid, you will need to place it in a dark cool area. If you want to speed up the steeping process you can shake the bottle and open it daily to breathe. You should test the liquid every 2 weeks to monitor this process. Shaking the e-liquid bottle for 15 to 30 seconds before using it can also help the flavors distribute evenly.
A key factor in the loss of flavor is degradation of the ingredients. This will usually happen over time, but the way the liquid is stored can accelerate this process. Most e-liquids have an expiration date of 1 to 2 years after they were created, but the loss of flavor could be noticeable after 6 to 12 months. It is important that you store your e-liquids away from the sun and other steady sources of heat as this will prevent them from expiring faster. When you store the liquids correctly, you can maintain the flavor for well over a year.
Think About Sub-Ohming
Sub-ohming is when you vape with an atomizer that has a coil with less than 1 ohm of electrical resistance. Sub-ohming will provide more flavor because the coil-build will generally have a larger wire gauge. The more wire there is, the larger the amount of UK e-liquid that is vaporized. Your vaporizer will need to have higher wattage to complete this as a broader surface will need to be covered and more vapor created. This process will also use more e-liquid, but it will provide you with the optimal amount of flavor.
Add More Coils
Another way of increasing the surface area of your atomizer is to add more coils. When you have a dual-coil atomizer, the e-liquid will be in contact with more coils which enhances the vapor amount and the flavor. Of course, as with sub-ohming, you will need higher wattage for dual-coils which means a stronger vaporizer is needed. The battery of the vaporizer will also drain faster when you use a dual-coil atomizer.
Increase The Airflow
When atomizers are designed they have 2 purposes in mind which are increasing the vapor production and enhancing the flavor. Atomizers that direct airflow to the coils will enhance the flavor. For the best results, you need to have the air flow beneath or behind the coils leading to the drip tip.
Use Glass Tanks
The quality of your e cigarette tank will impact the taste of your e-liquid. Using a glass tank will enhance your overall vaping experience. Plastic tanks tend to reduce the flavor and you need to consider this.
There are a number of adjustments that you can make to enhance the flavor of your e-liquid. However, you need to be prepared to make some sacrifices.
