When you browse the selection of vape juice here at Simply ELiquid, you’re going to see a new type of product that might be unfamiliar to you. That product is short fill e-liquid, and it’s made it possible for vapers to buy vape juice in large bottles without violating the regulations set forth in the Tobacco Products Directive (TPD). If you’re tired of going through massive numbers of 10 ml bottles every week, short fill e-liquid makes vaping more convenient by allowing you to buy your vape juice in larger bottles instead. Reading this article, you’re going to learn how it works.
What Is Short Fill E-Liquid?
Short fill vape juice is a large bottle of e-liquid that’s sold without nicotine and isn’t quite filled to the top. Since a short fill bottle contains no nicotine, you’ll add the nicotine yourself after buying the e-liquid. The most common sizes are 50 ml and 100 ml short fill bottles. The nicotine is sold separately in the form of nicotine shots. Nic shots consist of flavourless e-liquid with nicotine. They’re sold in 10 ml bottles. Nic shots may use either freebase nicotine or nic salts. Because they’re 10 ml in size and typically have a nicotine strength of 18 mg/ml, they comply with the restrictions set forth in the TPD. Before using short fill e-liquid, you’ll add one or two nicotine shots to the bottle depending on the bottle’s size.
Why Were Short Fill E-Liquids Invented?
Short fill e-liquid was invented by the vaping industry in response to changing consumer demands. As you’re likely aware, TPD regulations specify that any e-liquid containing nicotine must be sold in bottles no larger than 10 ml.
The problem with that rule, however, is that it was put in place during a time in which people typically used lower-power electronic cigarettes and preferre

Menthol Ban Sees Vaping Increase in Popularity
The ban of the sale of menthol cigarettes in May 2020 came as something of a shock for many people. Most smokers did not think it would happen, but it is now illegal to sell or smoke menthol cigarettes or rolling tobacco containing menthol in the UK. The thinking behind the ban was to try and discourage younger smokers from taking up the habit, as the menthol taste hides the harshness of nicotine. However, the good news is that in the vaping industry menthol is still allowed as a flavouring in any of our e-liquids.
A Tool to Quit
While it may have stung a little to find that your favourite menthol cigarettes are no longer allowed you could look at this as an opportunity to quit smoking. Many different studies have proved that vaping is a safer alternative and can be used as a crutch to give up the smokes. the best tobacco industry has long been something governments across the world have pushed for and this is another step towards their demise.
With vaping the nicotine content can be easily varied so you can start with something akin to smoking and gradually reduce the amount of nicotine until you are no longer taking in this chemical. Even with vaping, nicotine is not good for the lungs so developing a cloud habit with many different amazing tasting e-liquids that do not contain this harsh drug is the way to go. Of course, it's still not great for underage people to vape and it is something we discourage, and the industry takes seriously. But for people over the age of 18 who were reluctant to say goodbye to menthol cigarettes, vaping could be the alternative you've been looking for.

Your Guide to the Smoothest Vape
One of the problems we hear about most often is the lack of smoothness to the vaping experience. When you reach for your vape first thing in the morning, or when you're out on your lunch break or perhaps cooking dinner you want to enjoy your vape and rightly so. It can be really infuriating to find that your vaping isn't as smooth as you would like it to be, so here's a few suggestions to see if you can get back on track.
What's Your Nicotine Content?
We know that some of you have a specific nicotine content perhaps because you are using vaping to quit smoking and still have that element of addiction but watching the nicotine content is quite important when it comes to having a smooth experience. Too much nicotine can make your vape feel quite rough so it can be worth trying to change down a little bit to a lower content, and we would suggest 6mg or less.
Experiment With PG/VG Ratios
Another factor to take into account is the PG/VG ratio of your chosen e-liquid. These two important numbers create a ratio that impacts on the performance of your vape. The PG value is where you get the hit from and this contributes to the taste of the juice. The VG number equates to the level of vapour your e-liquid will produce. So, if you're finding that your vape has a harsh side that you are not enjoying try experimenting with something that has a higher VG ratio than you are currently using as this should smooth the vape experience right out.
Check Your Airflow
With some vapes the amount of air flow you are getting is variable and something you need to be adjusting as the user. If the air flow is closed up, you will create a pressure within the kit, and this will lead to a
