Drink Flavour E-Liquid FAQs
What Is Drink Flavour E-Liquid?
A drink flavour e-liquid is any vape juice that uses a blend of food-grade flavourings to mimic the taste of a beverage. Since e-liquid makers use the same flavouring agents that companies use for actual beverages, drink e-liquids can taste surprisingly realistic. With flavours ranging from soda to coffee, there is an incredible amount of variety in this type of vape juice.
Why Choose Drink Flavour E-Liquid?
One of the best reasons to buy drink flavour e-liquid is because it allows you to enjoy the flavours of your favourite beverages without the negative aspects that would make it unwise to consume those drinks all day. You can’t very well drink cocktails from dawn to dusk, but you can vape cocktail flavours as often as you like. E-liquid contains no alcohol, no caffeine and no calories. It’s the perfect way to enjoy drink flavours.
Another reason why beverage e-liquids are so delicious is because the flavours are often extremely realistic. When you drink a bottle of soda, for instance, you’re drinking a product made with the same food-grade flavourings that e-liquid makers use. Makers of sodas and other beverages generally keep their exact formulas secret, of course, but it’s possible to create convincing clones of many popular products with a bit of experimentation and research. There’s a good chance that you’ll have little trouble finding an almost perfect clone of whatever your favourite beverage might be.
The final reason why it’s so worthwhile to explore drink flavoured vape juice is because it’s an incredibly enjoyable way to get your nicotine. Why would you bother using an e-liquid that tastes like an imitation of a cigarette when you could buy a vape juice that tastes like coffee, soda or a fruit smoothie? Once people realize that they can get their nicotine while enjoying a flavour that’s delicious and sweet – rather than smoky and harsh – they often stop thinking about cigarettes forever.
What Are the Different Types of Drink Flavour E-Liquid?
You can find an e-liquid mimicking the flavour of just about any beverage imaginable. Most drink flavour e-liquids, however, fall into a few general categories.
- Soda e-liquids capture the flavour of popular sodas such as cola, citrus soda and ginger ale. Since most sodas are artificially flavoured, it’s possible to find many vape juices that are almost perfect clones. Some e-liquid makers have even managed to capture the tingly sensation that you get on the tongue from drinking soda. Since soda is something that you’d usually consume cold, it’s very common for soda e-liquids to include a bit of menthol to simulate the coolness of ice.
- Cocktail e-liquids capture the flavour of popular cocktails. An e-liquid in this category will often combine a fruity flavour like orange or lime with the flavour of a spirit like rum or vodka. You might enjoy a cocktail e-liquid if you enjoy a vape juice with a little more complexity than the typical fruity and dessert e-liquids.
- Smoothie e-liquids capture the flavour of blended fruit smoothies or slushes. An e-liquid in this category will typically blend the notes of many different fruits like strawberry, banana and blueberry. When the e-liquid is intended to taste like a smoothie, it’ll often include a milky or creamy note. When it’s intended to taste like a frozen slush, it’ll usually include a little menthol.
- Coffee and tea e-liquids capture the flavours of everyone’s favourite caffeinated beverages. The coffee and tea flavour concentrates that vape juice makers use often taste surprisingly realistic, and those flavours can be blended with other notes in a variety of interesting ways. The flavour of tea, for instance, often pairs well with fruity notes. A coffee flavour pairs wonderfully with notes of sugar and milk to create an e-liquid that tastes like a cappuccino.
What Strength Drink Flavour E-Liquid Do I Need?
Here at Simply ELiquid, you’ll find that we sell two types of e-liquids. The first type – freebase nicotine e-liquid – usually comes in lower nicotine strengths, and the most popular nicotine strength for this type of e-liquid is 3 mg/ml. If you use a vape mod or vape pen with a large glass tank, you’ll probably find that the 3 mg/ml nicotine strength is perfect for you. Modern vape tanks produce so much vapour per puff that they always work best with the lowest available nicotine strengths. If you try the 3 mg/ml nicotine strength and find that it doesn’t produce a satisfying experience with your vaping hardware, it might be a good idea to step up to the 6 mg/ml strength.
The second type of vape juice that we sell here is called nicotine salt e-liquid. Nicotine salt e-liquid comes in higher nicotine strengths. The two most common strengths for nicotine salt vape juice are 10 mg/ml and 20 mg/ml. Both of those nicotine strengths are much too high for a vaping device designed for direct-to-lung inhaling, so you should only use nicotine salt e-liquid with a smaller device intended for mouth-to-lung vaping. If you’ve just switched to vaping and are buying e-liquid for the first time, we suggest starting with the 20 mg/ml nicotine strength because that’s what comes closest to the nicotine delivery of a cigarette. If you feel like you’re consuming more nicotine than you need, try the 10 mg/ml strength instead.
