GEEK VAPE AEGIS HERO: INSTRUCTION MANUAL AND TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

The Geek Vape Aegis range has rightfully earned fame throughout the vaping community. When you vape, you carry your device just about everywhere – and it can receive some pretty rough treatment in the process. If you’ve ever dropped your vaping device on the sidewalk or knocked it into a full sink, you know that a small accident can often spell the end for a vape pen or mod. It doesn’t spell the end, however, for a Geek Vape Aegis device. With shock resistance and IP67 dust and water resistance across the entire product range, there is probably no vaping device on the market that’s more durable than a Geek Vape Aegis product.

The Geek Vape Aegis Hero is special because it’s an amazingly tiny pod-based device with the same resiliency as the rest of the Aegis product range. It’s got the sleekness and portability of a pod system, but it also features sub-ohm atomizer coils and adjustable wattage like a mod. Best of all, it can take plenty of abuse and always come back for more.

If you’ve selected the Geek Vape Aegis Hero as your next device, you’ve chosen well – and if you don’t own the Aegis Hero yet, you can buy it right here for just £29.95.

This article is your quick-start guide for the Geek Vape Aegis Hero. In this instruction manual, we’ll explain the essential things that you need to know in order to get up and running with your new device quickly. We’ll also explain how to fix the most common problems that you might experience with the Aegis Hero.

How to Use the Geek Vape Aegis Hero

The Geek Vape Aegis Hero is an absolute pleasure to use. It’s such an enjoyable device, in fact, that we’re certain you’d rather read the included instruction manual after you’ve gotten the device up and running rather than before. You’re going to find the information you need right here. Follow these quick tips to start using your Aegis Hero as quickly as possible.

How to Charge the Geek Vape Aegis Hero

The Geek Vape Aegis Hero has a built-in 1,200 mAh battery that charges via a Micro USB port. To charge the battery, just connect the Aegis Hero to your computer’s USB port using the included charging cable. The device’s display – positioned just under the fire button – tells you when the charge cycle is finished.

How to Fill the Geek Vape Aegis Hero

One of the great things about the Geek Vape Aegis Hero is the fact that the pod’s filling port is on top. With other pod systems, you have to remove the pod to fill it. The Aegis Hero’s top-mounted filling port means that you can fill the pod while it is connected to the device, and it also means that the pod is extremely unlikely to leak. To fill the pod, simply place your fingernail under the silicone plug and lift the plug up to expose the pod’s filling hole. Fill the pod and replace the plug.

How to Replace the Geek Vape Aegis Hero Coil

You’ll know that it’s time to replace the coil in your Geek Vape Aegis Hero because, after you’ve used a coil for a few days, you’ll notice that the flavour quality has begun to decline. When you’re no longer happy with the flavour of the coil, it’s time to replace it. When the pod is empty, remove it from the Aegis Hero and invert it. You’ll see the atomizer coil on the bottom of the pod. Pull it out and push the new coil in. Fill the pod and wait several minutes before continuing to vape.

How to Vape With the Geek Vape Aegis Hero

The Geek Vape Aegis Hero uses a button-activated firing system. The fire button is the large button positioned directly over the device’s screen. To vape, hold the button down while puffing on the device’s mouthpiece.

The Aegis Hero has two vaping modes: variable-wattage mode and bypass mode. In variable-wattage mode, you select a power level from 5-45 watts manually using the adjustment buttons under the device’s display. In bypass mode, the Aegis Hero automatically sends the battery’s full available voltage to the atomizer coil. To switch between modes, press the fire button three times quickly to open the menu. Press the adjustment buttons to choose your desired vaping mode and hold the fire button to confirm.

How to Fix Problems With the Geek Vape Aegis Hero

If your Geek Vape Aegis Hero has a problem and isn’t performing as it should, this section of our guide will help you troubleshoot the issue. These are the solutions for the problems that you might encounter when using the Aegis Hero.

Geek Vape Aegis Hero Not Charging

If the Geek Vape Aegis Hero doesn’t start charging when you connect it to your computer, the most likely reason is that the USB cable has a problem. You probably have several micro USB cables lying around the house and can use one of your extra cables to charge the Aegis Hero. If your device still isn’t charging, remember that the USB ports on older computers can sometimes be unreliable. Try a different computer. You should also make sure that the charging port of the Aegis Hero isn’t contaminated with dust and grime. If the charging port is dirty, you can remove contaminations carefully with a toothpick.

Geek Vape Aegis Hero Not Hitting

If your Geek Vape Aegis Hero isn’t hitting when you hold the fire button, you should first check to confirm that you haven’t locked the device. Press the fire button five times to unlock it. If the Aegis Hero still isn’t hitting, the screen should display an error message telling you what the problem is.

  • If you see the message “Battery Low,” you need to charge the device.
  • If you see the message “No Atomizer,” the coil isn’t making a good connection with the device. Reseat the atomizer coil and pod and try again.
  • If you see the message “Ohm Too Low” or “Atomizer Short,” the installed atomizer coil has a problem. Discard the atomizer coil and replace it with a new one.

Weak Hits With the Geek Vape Aegis Hero

The Geek Vape Aegis Hero far more adjustable than most pod-based vaping devices. If it produces weak hits, there are four variables that you can adjust in order to tailor the vaping experience to your liking.

  • Adjust the airflow collar under the mouthpiece. Close the airflow to make the vapour warmer and more potent. Open the airflow for bigger clouds.
  • Use a different atomizer coil. The Geek Vape Aegis Hero has two atomizer coils available with resistances of 0.4 and 0.6 ohm. You’ll get bigger clouds with the 0.4-ohm coil.
  • Adjust the nicotine strength of your e-liquid. It may be that the nicotine strength of the e-liquid you’re currently using is too low for your needs.
  • Adjust the device’s wattage. A lower wattage setting will make the device produce cooler clouds with subtler flavours. A higher wattage setting will make the device produce bigger clouds with more intense flavours. If you experience a burning or irritating sensation when inhaling the vapour, the wattage setting is too high.

Geek Vape Aegis Hero Gurgling or Popping

One of the best things about the Geek Vape Aegis Hero is the fact that it uses atomizer coils with mesh heating surfaces. Tanks or pods with mesh coils should never pop or gurgle during operation. If your device does either of those things, it’s likely that you are using too much air pressure when puffing on the device. If you’re not satisfied with your vaping experience, refer to the above section about how to troubleshoot weak hits with the Geek Vape Aegis Hero. Inhaling more firmly will not produce a more satisfying hit; it’ll force excess e-liquid to enter your device’s atomizer coil assembly, flooding the coil and causing it to produce a gurgling sound.
