What E-Liquid Should I Use in SMOK Pods?
Higher-Resistance MTL Pods
Pods between 0.8 and 1.2 ohm generally work best with balanced 50/50 VG/PG e-liquid. These resistances are particularly well suited to nic salt e-liquid.
0.6- and 0.7-Ohm Pods
These cartridges produce more vapour and warmth than a tight MTL pod. Use a lower nicotine strength if the increased vapour makes your usual liquid feel too strong.
RPM 2 Coils
The ideal liquid depends on the selected coil. A higher-resistance MTL coil works best with 50/50 liquid, while a low-resistance mesh coil may suit a thicker high-VG blend.
RPM 3 Coils
RPM 3 coils are designed for high-powered DTL vaping. Pair them with a high-VG e-liquid and a low nicotine strength because each puff produces a large amount of vapour.
Match the liquid to the coil: Very thick high-VG e-liquid may not wick properly in a compact MTL pod. Thin high-PG liquid may leak or feel excessively harsh in a powerful DTL coil.
How to Fill a SMOK Pod
The filling position varies between pod families. Some cartridges open at the top, while others use a silicone-covered port on the side.
- Remove the pod from the device if needed to reach the filling opening.
- Open the mouthpiece, top cover or silicone stopper according to the pod design.
- Insert the e-liquid bottle nozzle into the filling port. Avoid the central airflow chimney.
- Fill the cartridge while leaving a small amount of air inside the pod.
- Close the filling port firmly and wipe away any liquid from the exterior.
- Reinsert the pod and make sure it is seated correctly.
- When using a new built-in pod or a freshly fitted coil, wait five to ten minutes before vaping.
Allowing a new wick to absorb the e-liquid before the first puff helps prevent burnt cotton and premature coil failure.
When Should You Replace a SMOK Pod or Coil?
