Uwell Pod Buying Guide

Find the Right Replacement Pods for Your Uwell Vape

Fresh replacement pods help your Uwell vape maintain the clear flavour, smooth airflow and dependable vapour production that the Caliburn range is known for. Since different generations of Caliburn devices use different cartridges, the first step is to match the exact pod family to the name of your vape.

Our current Uwell pod collection includes cartridges for the modern Caliburn G3 platform and the original Caliburn Koko system. Both styles are refillable and contain built-in coils, but their shapes, resistances and device compatibility are different.

Uwell Pod Compatibility Guide

Caliburn pods are named according to the device platform they use. A cartridge designed for one Caliburn generation will not necessarily fit another, even when the devices look similar.

Pod Type Resistance Vaping Style Compatible Devices
Caliburn G3 Pod 0.6Ω RDL or airy MTL Caliburn G3-platform devices, including the G3, GK3 and other compatible G Pod Platform models
Caliburn G3 Pod 0.9Ω MTL Caliburn G3-platform devices, including the G3, GK3 and other compatible G Pod Platform models
Caliburn Koko Pod 1.2Ω Tight MTL Original Uwell Caliburn and original Uwell Caliburn Koko devices

Do not rely on the Caliburn name alone: Original Caliburn Koko pods do not fit later models such as the Koko Prime, GK2 or G3-series devices. Likewise, G3 pods are not replacements for original Caliburn or Koko cartridges.

Which Devices Use Uwell Caliburn G3 Pods?

Caliburn G3 cartridges belong to Uwell’s G Pod Platform and offer broad compatibility across the G3 generation and newer compatible devices.

Available from Simply ELiquid

Both devices support the 0.6- and 0.9-ohm cartridges offered in this collection.

Other Compatible G3-Platform Devices

  • Uwell Caliburn G3 Lite
  • Uwell Caliburn G3 Lite Koko
  • Uwell Caliburn G3 Pro
  • Uwell Caliburn G3 Pro Koko
  • Uwell Caliburn G3 Eco
  • Uwell Caliburn GK3 Tenet
  • Compatible Caliburn G4 and G5-series devices using the G Pod Platform

Resistance compatibility: The G Pod Platform covers several device generations and cartridge resistances. Check your device’s supported power range before using a particularly low-resistance pod that may require more wattage than an older model can provide.

Which Devices Use Original Caliburn Koko Pods?

The 1.2-ohm Caliburn Koko cartridges in this collection were developed for Uwell’s original Caliburn platform.

Compatible Devices

These devices share the same original refillable cartridge connection.

Not Compatible With

  • Uwell Caliburn Koko Prime
  • Uwell Caliburn G and G2 devices
  • Uwell Caliburn GK2
  • Uwell Caliburn G3 and GK3 devices
  • Uwell Caliburn A2 and A3 devices

Which Uwell Pod Resistance Should I Choose?

Lower-resistance pods generally operate at higher power and produce warmer, airier vapour. Higher-resistance cartridges provide a tighter draw and are usually better suited to stronger nicotine e-liquids.

Resistance Draw Vapour Level Best For
0.6Ω Airier Medium to high A warmer RDL or loose MTL vape with increased vapour production. Best paired with a lower nicotine strength.
0.9Ω Moderately tight Medium A balanced MTL experience with satisfying flavour, moderate warmth and good suitability for nic salts.
1.2Ω Tight Lower A cooler, cigarette-like MTL draw with discreet vapour production and support for higher nicotine strengths.

Not sure which G3 pod to buy? Choose the 0.9-ohm option for a traditional mouth-to-lung experience or the 0.6-ohm version for a warmer and airier draw. The 1.2-ohm Koko pod is only for compatible original Caliburn devices.

How to Fill a Uwell Caliburn Pod

Both pod types currently included in this collection provide access to the filling port from the upper section of the cartridge.

  1. Remove the cartridge from your vape if this makes the mouthpiece and filling opening easier to access.
  2. Carefully remove or lift the mouthpiece section according to the design of your pod.
  3. Locate the e-liquid filling opening. Avoid putting liquid into the central airflow chimney.
  4. Insert the bottle nozzle and fill the cartridge without completely filling the remaining air space.
  5. Close the mouthpiece firmly and wipe away any e-liquid from the outside of the pod.
  6. When using a new cartridge, wait five to ten minutes before vaping so the wick can absorb the e-liquid fully.

The filling arrangement can vary between older Caliburn G3 cartridge versions and newer G Pod Platform designs. Always use the visible e-liquid opening rather than the central airway.

What E-Liquid Should I Use in Uwell Pods?

50/50 E-Liquid

A balanced 50/50 VG/PG e-liquid is the safest all-round choice for Caliburn pods. It flows easily through the compact wicking ports while providing a satisfying combination of flavour and vapour.

Nic Salt E-Liquid

Nic salt e-liquids provide a smooth throat hit and work particularly well with the 0.9- and 1.2-ohm cartridges used for mouth-to-lung vaping.

Freebase E-Liquid

Pod-friendly freebase liquids can also be used. The warmer 0.6-ohm G3 pod is a good option for lower-strength freebase e-liquid when you want increased vapour production.

Matching Nicotine Strength

Use lower nicotine strengths with the 0.6-ohm pod because it produces more vapour per puff. Higher resistances are usually more comfortable with stronger e-liquids.

Avoid excessively thick e-liquids: High-VG liquids may not soak into the compact coil quickly enough, particularly during repeated vaping. This can cause dry or burnt-tasting puffs.

When Should You Replace a Uwell Pod?

Uwell pods contain integrated coils that gradually collect residue as e-liquid is vaporised. Pod lifespan depends on the sweetness of your e-liquid, resistance, power level and how frequently you vape.

Replace your cartridge when you notice:

  • A persistent burnt, dry or stale taste
  • Flavour becoming noticeably weaker or less accurate
  • Reduced vapour production
  • Frequent gurgling, flooding or spitting
  • Persistent leaking despite correct filling
  • E-liquid inside the pod becoming unusually dark

Since the coil is permanently installed inside the cartridge, replace the complete pod when the heating element reaches the end of its usable life.

How to Help Your Uwell Pods Last Longer

Prime Every New Pod

Wait five to ten minutes after the first fill. This gives the dry cotton inside the cartridge time to absorb e-liquid before the coil begins heating.

Refill Before It Runs Dry

Keep the visible wicking openings covered with e-liquid. Continuing to vape an almost empty cartridge can scorch the cotton.

Avoid Chain Vaping

Leave a short pause between puffs so the wick can draw more e-liquid towards the coil before it heats again.

Use Suitable E-Liquid

A pod-friendly 50/50 blend supports consistent wicking. Very thick or heavily sweetened liquids may shorten the coil’s lifespan.

Keep the Contacts Clean

Wipe condensation from the bottom of the pod and the device connection periodically to maintain reliable electrical contact.

Close the Pod Firmly

Make sure the mouthpiece or filling cover is fully secured after every refill to help preserve the cartridge’s seal.

Uwell Pods: Frequently Asked Questions

Do all Uwell Caliburn pods fit every Caliburn device?

No. Uwell has produced several separate Caliburn pod platforms. Match the full name of your device with the compatible cartridge family before ordering.

How many Uwell pods are included in each pack?

Both replacement pod products currently included in this collection contain four refillable cartridges per pack.

Do Uwell pods contain built-in coils?

Yes. The G3 and original Caliburn Koko pods sold here contain integrated coils. Replace the complete cartridge when the coil wears out.

Which Caliburn G3 pod is best for nic salts?

The 0.9-ohm option is the best general choice for nic salts and mouth-to-lung vaping. The 0.6-ohm cartridge can also be used with a lower nicotine strength when you want a warmer and airier draw.

Which G3 pod produces more vapour?

The 0.6-ohm pod operates at a higher power level and produces warmer vapour and a larger cloud than the 0.9-ohm version.

Are original Koko pods compatible with the Koko Prime?

No. The original Caliburn Koko and Koko Prime use different pod and coil systems. These 1.2-ohm cartridges are intended for the original Caliburn and original Caliburn Koko only.

Are Caliburn G3 pods compatible with the GK3?

Yes. The Uwell Caliburn GK3 uses G3-platform cartridges and supports the 0.6- and 0.9-ohm options available here.

Can I use nic salt and freebase e-liquid?

Yes. Both types can be used when the liquid has a pod-friendly consistency. Match the nicotine strength to the resistance and amount of vapour produced.

How long does a Uwell pod last?

There is no fixed lifespan. Pod longevity depends on the e-liquid, power level and frequency of use. Replace the cartridge when flavour or vapour production declines noticeably.

Why does my new Uwell pod taste burnt?

The wick may not have absorbed enough e-liquid before the first puff. Fill the cartridge and allow it to stand for five to ten minutes before vaping.

Why is my Uwell pod leaking?

Check that the filling cover is closed firmly, the pod is not overfilled and the cartridge has no cracks. A small amount of condensation beneath the pod is normal and can be wiped away.
