Replacement Coils for the Innokin T20S and EZ.WATT
The Prism S range was developed for Innokin's T20S mouth-to-lung system. Both available resistances operate at relatively low wattages, making them well suited to compact devices, 50/50 vape juice and the moderate vapour production associated with MTL vaping.
The main choice is between warmth and power. The 0.8Ω coil runs at 16-18W for a warmer and slightly fuller vape, while the 1.5Ω version operates at 13-14W and provides a cooler, gentler experience.

Choose 1.5Ω for a Cooler Vape
The 1.5Ω version operates at just 13-14W. It provides cooler vapour and requires less battery power, making it a good option for a gentler MTL experience and longer periods between charges.
Push-Fit Coil Changes
Prism S coils are easy to replace. Unscrew the base of the tank, pull the old coil out and push the new one firmly into position before reassembling and refilling.

Which Devices Use Innokin Prism S Coils?
These replacement coils are designed for the Prism-S tank system used by the Innokin T20S Vape Tank. They are also suitable for the Innokin EZ.WATT Vape Kit, which is supplied with a Prism T20S tank and both the 0.8Ω and 1.5Ω coil options.
Don't confuse the T20S with the original T20. Prism S coils are designed for the T20S system. The older Innokin T20 tank uses its own dedicated 1.5Ω Prism T20 coil, and the two coil families are not interchangeable.
Are Prism S Coils for MTL or DTL Vaping?
Innokin describes the Prism-S as a mouth-to-lung coil and tank system. Both the 0.8Ω and 1.5Ω coils are therefore best viewed as MTL options rather than conventional high-powered DTL coils.
The 0.8Ω resistance may look low compared with many traditional MTL coils, but resistance alone doesn't determine vaping style. It operates at only 16-18W and is designed around the relatively tight airflow of the T20S tank. The result is a warmer MTL vape rather than the wide-open draw and heavy vapour production of a typical sub-ohm DTL setup.
What E-Liquid Is Best for Prism S Coils?
50/50 Vape Juice
A 50VG/50PG e-liquid is an excellent match for both Prism S resistances. Its relatively thin consistency wicks efficiently at the low power levels these coils use.
Nic Salts
Nicotine salt e-liquids also work well with the Prism S system. The MTL airflow and moderate vapour output make these coils much better suited to nic salts than a high-powered DTL tank would be.
Very thick high-VG shortfills are generally intended for larger, higher-powered coils. For reliable wicking and consistent performance from the T20S, 50/50 liquids are the safer choice.
How to Replace an Innokin Prism S Coil
1. Remove the Tank
Take the tank off your device and make sure it isn't filled high enough for e-liquid to spill when you remove the base.
2. Remove the Old Coil
Unscrew the tank base and pull the used Prism S coil straight out.
3. Install the Replacement
Push the new coil firmly into the tank, checking that it sits fully and evenly in position.
4. Refill and Let It Soak
Reassemble the tank, add your e-liquid and allow the fresh coil several minutes to become thoroughly saturated before vaping.
Using a fresh coil? Don't fire it immediately after filling. Allowing the wick to absorb e-liquid before the first puff helps prevent the cotton from scorching and developing a permanent burnt taste.
How Long Do Innokin Prism S Coils Last?
There isn't a fixed lifespan for a Prism S coil. How long yours lasts depends on how frequently you vape, the e-liquid you use and whether the wick remains properly saturated.
It's usually time to replace the coil when you notice one or more of the following:
- Flavour has become noticeably weaker
- Vapour production has dropped
- The vape develops a persistent burnt or unpleasant taste
- Performance remains poor even after refilling the tank
Very sweet e-liquids can leave residue on a coil more quickly, so heavily sweetened flavours may require more frequent replacements.
