Customer Kicked Out Of Supermarket For Vaping

In recent news a woman has been kicked out of Morrisons Supermarket for using her electronic cigarette in the store. The woman now plans on boycotting the Supermarket saying she will take her "custom somewhere else".

Everyone will have their own opinions on whether or not Morrisons should allow people to vape in store but the simple matter of the fact is they don't, and she was breaking the company policy.

The customer said,

"I couldn't believe it – I was in Morrisons a couple of days ago, took a couple of puffs and was told by a member of staff to get out,”

“When I asked, ‘How come?’, they said there’s a sign on the door saying no smoking, including e-cigarettes.

“I was pretty annoyed, but when I rang Morrisons head office they said it’s company policy across the whole country.

“I think it’s disgusting. I spend over £300 a month there"

Giving Vapers A Bad Name

Although she probably didn't realise it her actions and others like it only have damaging consequences on vapers. Whether or not they agree with the ban, or whether they spend £300 a month its irrelevant, it is not for vapers to ignore company policy and decide to vape anyway. This kind of behaviour only provides ammunition to those against those who use electronic cigarettes and the people that use them.

"Even more reasons to shop at Morrisons" - well maybe not for this customer anyway...
